Art, Fashion, and Fun: the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts Presents Style Your Sole
The Southwestern Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA), Goler Fine Imported Shoes, and TOMS Shoes are proud to present Style Your Sole on June 22nd, 10 am to 6 pm at Goler Fine Imported Shoes in Santa Fe. It will be a fantastic day of Native art and style.

The Southwestern Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA), Goler Fine Imported Shoes, and TOMS Shoes present the 2013 Style your Sole Event in Santa Fe. From 10 am to 6 pm on June 22nd at Goler Fine Imported Shoes, art and shoe lovers alike have the opportunity to purchase artist designed TOMS or create their own unique design along side Native artists. By working with TOMS and Goler Fine Imported Shoes, SWAIA hopes to make Native art more accessible to the community and inspire a larger network of understanding between Native tradition and modern culture. All Proceeds will benefit TOMS Shoes and the Santa Fe Indian Market.
About the Artists:
Ricardo Caté (Kewa Pueblo) writes and illustrates the cartoon “Without Reservations”. While he has experienced great success in film and stage, he continues to stay true to his traditional roots.
Alex Peña (Comanche) explores a working definition of aesthetic worth in his art by assessing cultural inspiration and knowledge, interpersonal relationships, and the idea of beauty.
Ishkoten Dougi (Jicarilla Apache/Diné/Navajo) is a contemporary sculptor, painter, and printmaker. He trained at the Institute of American Indian Arts. Dougi experiments with 3-D and computer imagery and includes 3-D glasses in some of his works.
Stacy Brossy (Navajo) was raised on a Navajo reservation, attended high school in Honolulu, Hawaii, and graduated from Amherst College in Massachusetts. Brossy practices many media and is inspired by her culture, travels, and life experiences.
