A Poem for Betty - Art & Time Project

by Rebelwolf and Oswald LeWinter

Betty by UK Digital Artist RebelwolfA Poem for Betty
She is gone
Into a world of eternal light
And all who loved her linger here;
Their memory of her is fair and bright,
She was a woman without peer
She glows and glitters in your injured breast,
A star in dark and sorrowing hours.
Her resting place with grief is dressed,
The sun has lost its luminous powers
I see her walking, calmly with her God,
Her step spry, as when you were a child.
And even absent, you are loved
As if she trod beside you
On days bitter, and days mild.

Oh, Holy Hope and High Humility,
High as heaven, high above!
Your paradisal fields honor her.
She knew mercy, grace, and how to kindle love.
She was a jewel among the living
Just spending her gifts to all in need.
It was your best friend who now lies in dust
And yet, she lives to bless your every deed.
She is your angel still, as once in brighter dreams,
she nursed your soul when you would sleep.
She drove away strange fantasies and harmful themes,
And taught you glories you would keep.
If her star is locked into a tomb,
her captive flame burns high and cheers.
Death’s other trophies in that room,
with light that’s visible in all spheres.
Oh Father of Eternal Life,
disperse this mist that blots our sight.
How can we know she’s conquered death and strife,
and know we will cling to one another one day in eternal light?

The inside scoop!

Back in 2011, The Artist In You challenged folks to post their Art and engaged Poets from around the world to 'mash up' their words of art to translate how each work made them feel! Synergy of thought and creative process engaged hundreds of thousands to view, like and participate. 'The Ultimate Collection' (working title) Art and Poetry book series mission was born! Have you seen the video yet?

For those who love poetry! For those who love art! For those who still love the feel of a big coffee table sized book, to visit, peruse, enjoy each day...we are so excited to present our first intended publication "Art and Time"! Renowned and Burgeoning artists have created an opportunity, a visual keepsake presentation, that erases all imaginary lines, engages, explores, and substantiates our mission statement: Inspiring Change With Every Brush Stroke!
