Living With Demons
Lately my world is occupied with monsters
Beasts that inhabit my home,
Sometimes they have fangs dripping with blood
Eyes, red and terrible filling me with fear
Others moan like ghosts dragging chains
Of past sins that weigh them down
Trying to catch up to me
To pass on their horror and free themselves
Why now, what happened that I should
Deserve this terror, the dreadfulness
So alarming I can no longer sleep
Or is this a slumber, a nightmare?
I can no longer tell the reality
From the traumatic dreams, or corporality
Rather than the state of my spiritual form
Why am I being stalked and by what?
Am I being penalized for past sins
So shocking that there is no punishment
In the here and now, no jail
On this earth to satisfy the gods of retribution
For whatever I have done, I don’t know anymore
I beg forgiveness and plead that the ghastly monsters leave
Please go and bring back my peace and tranquility
And I promise to be endlessly virtuous forevermore.

Let's go Dreaming
Let's go dreaming baby
Let's be nodding off the day
Spooning oh so rhythmically
Responding
To each other's sway
Of mood changes
and new visuals
as we are
Flying over Nod
The bed is so warm
and I'm so safe
When you are by my side.
And when we wake together
We'll be daydreaming in the sun
Of permanent synchronicity
While we share another day
As one.

I Am The Stallion
Couldn't you see
The terror
In my eyes
Couldn't you see
That I had lost my smile
As you
Forcefully
Overwhelmed me
With physical gesture
With sadistic pleasure
I am the stallion
Running wild and free
I am the stallion
Brave, vulnerable, naïve
Although you put no brand on me
Life's lock was opened
You turned the key
You spoke not a word
But the fire in your eyes
Told me your story
Forced me to realize
I am the stallion
Running wild and free
I am the stallion
Brave, vulnerable, yet still naïve
Although you put no brand on me
Life's lock was opened
You turned the key.
Was it my bewildered innocence
That finally made you SEE
Born anew into YOUR world
I was in total fear
Of this reality.
