Cherries and Lace!

by Regina Sabiston

Cherries in a Bowl and LaceI hope you're not getting sick of my cherry paintings. For me this one is about opposite colors and how the compliment each other. I use the greens to make the cherries pop. What makes me happy is how the colors make me feel. The intensity is invigorating and the painting should cause a reaction immediately. I want the viewer to feel alive! Once again I used translucent colors to give the cherries depth.

To paint the lace I used a liner brush...a long thin brush I use with paint the consistency of ink. It's great for detail and holds a lot of paint.

Don't you just want a bowl of juicy cherries right now? If you do, then my message is clear!
